OUR STORY

Dough Boy’s is a locally owned family business founded in 1989 in the surf-town of Virginia Beach, VA, a sunny vacation-land that plays host to millions of visitors annually. Back then the pizza concept was called Dough Boy’s Pasta and Grill, and there was one Dough Boy’s, located at 2410 Atlantic Avenue in the heart of the resort.

The fledgling operation served up a variety of pastas and “specialty pizzas,” some as crazy sounding as Oysters Rockefeller Pizza and Green Piece Pizza, as well as a wide selection of hearth baked subs, 1/2 pound burgers, salads, and unique snacks for beachcombers on the go.

Dough Boy’s Pizza has two Virginia Beach oceanfront locations to serve you on 33rd Street and 24th Street. We offer online ordering at our 33rd Street location only. Free curbside parking from Oct 1st – May 10th.

CATCH THE WAVE!

THE WAVE is a Calzone wave crashing onto a Dough Boy’s Original Pizza. Made to order from scratch. Half of THE WAVE is hand-folded dough with ingredients packed inside like a Calzone, and the other half is flat and is topped like a pizza.

Sippin’ on happiness and good times during Happy Hour at Dough Boy’s Pizza! Join us at any of our three locations for Happy Hour every Monday- Friday from 11:00am – 5:30pm. Good drinks, good friends, and an even better time!

My husband and I visited the Dough Boys restaurant on 24th Street on Atlantic Ave. We ordered our food and drinks and had a wonderful time. We asked for a box to put our last two pieces of pizza in to take with us, but before the waitress returned with it, I accidentally hit the pizza pan with my hand, knocking it to the floor. I said Oh No! And I was going to pick it up, but before I could, I heard someone else say Oh No! It was the owner of the restaurant, and he came and picked it up for me and insisted on replacing it free of charge! I was embarrassed, but he didn't make me feel bad at all. He didn't have to do that, but he did! All the food was delicious, the waitress was very attentive and the owner is awesome! I would highly recommend this restaurant!

The Pizza is DELICIOUS! We come from an area of many wonderful pizzerias & wing places, so we can be hard to please BUT we were so surprised. The Cheese was the best part for me, a rich & full flavor. My husband said “I’m sorry we’re not staying another day, just so we could come back.” Our waitress, Chelsea B., was attentive & enthusiastic. – Good job Chelsea!

Lunch was great at the 33rd Street location!!! The service was even better!! I was warmly greeted when I walked in. Special shout out to my server Jeremy for just being kind to me!! You never know what someone is going through and kindness can change their day! Can’t wait to bring my family back!

I wanted to take a minute to thank you and your entire staff for a wonderful eating adventure. All of our students loved the food and my administrative staff loved the catered food. I couldn’t have asked for a better response to our needs. I want to say personally, that you are the best at what you do. I look forward to contacting you again on our next trip down. Additionally, one of the best parts to this was seeing your restaurant completely full while other restaurants on Atlantic were empty. I even heard one family walking down Atlantic say “that place is crowded, it must be real good lets go in there,” and sure enough they walked in and sat down. Thanks again for all you did.
